Unfortunately, lightning will kill it.  I am afraid it's time for a new one.

Had a lightning strike at the house.  Fried 3 TV's and some other electronics.  Of course, the Musical Doorbell doesn't work.  Removed it, put in a fresh battery, and can get no sound.  Is there any other test I can do or should I just assume that it is fried and buy a new doorbell?

Hi.  Please email your address to me at sales@musicaldoorbell.com and I can send you the jumpers needed to install in your musical doorbell.  However note that in this configuration you cannot run on a 9V battery only.  You must be using a bell transformer which is used to light the light in the button.  The 9V battery cannot supply enough power for the light.

5  Musical Doorbell / Installation & Operation / Lighted Button replacement

The doorbell unit was initially installed with a basic unlighted button using the 9V battery source and worked fine. I tried to replace the button with a lighted version but it will not trip the doorbell when the button is pushed. I noticed "jumper" setting and observed that it had been properly removed on the initial installation.  I suspect I now need this.  How can I fashion one or where can I find one and how is it connected?  Thank you

I am seriously considering buying this product, and I am curious about one thing.  How hard would it be to program in Chopin's funeral march?

I would love to get the IChime for the house but the housing is terrible.  Is there somewhere to purchase the housing only?  I thought about making one but I'm a no talent when it comes to that stuff
